Description: This sunny, three-bedroom cottage has been lovingly renovated so that it has character and charm.  Located on beautiful Lake Muskoka, with a large, shared sandy beach and swimming area, this cottage will be sure to please.

Hilltop Cottage is just off a main, paved road and the driveway is level and well maintained.  The cottage is all on one level, with a private, grassy yard where there is room to play and great views of Lake Muskoka.

Other cottages on the same large property share the 450 foot sandy waterfront. Each of these cottages is a separate building, privately owned.  All have large yards and mature trees.

The front entrance at Hilltop Cottage leads into the living area of the cottage.  Here there is a wonderful view of Lake Muskoka through the windows that extend across the front of the living area.  This room, with its cathedral ceiling, is comfortably furnished and has an electric fireplace to provide ambience or take off the chill.  The living area opens into the dining area, where there is a table that will seat six comfortably.  Beyond this is the fully equipped, newly renovated,  compact kitchen with dishwasher and ceiling fan.

Three small bedrooms open off the kitchen area.  The master bedroom, with queen-sized bed, has a large patio door window that looks into the living area.  When the curtains are pulled back, this allows for a view out the front windows of the cottage and thus lots of natural light.  The cathedral ceiling in the bedroom opens into the living area to allow for a good flow of air. The second bedroom has a double bed, and the third has a bunk bed consisting of a single bed above and a double bed below. The bathroom is newly renovated and has a bathtub and shower.

A patio door opens off the kitchen to lead to the deck.  Here there is comfortable lawn furniture and outdoor lighting.  More chairs are provided in the yard, where there is a fire pit.

A paved driveway leads down the hill to the well-maintained waterfront.  The waterfront has a large sandy beach area, and the lake has a firm sandy bottom that extends across the whole area.  The depth is shallow and gradually deepens.  One area is deep enough to dive off the floating raft that is provided, while another area is shallow enough to easily access the nearby small island.   A dock is provided for mooring a boat if you bring one to explore the lake.  There is a shared fire pit with multiple Muskoka chairs, and picnic tables are located in various spots along the waterfront.  If you bring your own volleyball, there is volleyball net for your use, and there is a horseshoe pit as well.   Children will have lots of room to run or play a game of ball.

Lake Muskoka is a beautiful, clean lake with miles of water to explore.  It is not far to boat into Gravenhurst, where the new Muskoka Wharf area has docking facilities and eating and shopping areas.  Here, the cruise boats depart daily during the summer to give tours of the lake.  If you go by car, Gravenhurst is about a fifteen-minute drive.  Other sites in the area include Bethune House in Gravenhurst, Santa's Village in Bracebridge, or the Pioneer Village in Port Carling.  Bala, with its October Cranberry Festival and interesting shops is about a fifteen-minute drive.
