Description:
Nestled on the shores of beautiful Lake Bernard, this lovely
cottage is just the spot for a memorable vacation.
With south facing windows, a solid deck and
spacious, screened sunroom overlooking the sparkling
waters, any stresses and cares will rapidly
disappear.
Cedar Shores is located a short distance
from the main highway, and not far from the town of
Sundridge. Lake Bernard is known as the
largest freshwater lake in the world that does not
have any islands! Its firm sandy bottom makes
it a lovely lake for swimming, and it is a
great lake for fishing for trout and small-mouth
bass. Ice fishing in the winter is a popular
winter sport.
The
newly-renovated cottage is quite private and is well
treed to provide summer shade. All on one
level, the cottage has two bedrooms, with a
queen-sized bed in each. There is
a four-piece bathroom with bathtub. The
kitchen is large and well equipped, and the dining
table in the living area seats four people.
Relax by the fireplace in the living area, where
there is satellite television and a DVD player.
A
south-east facing ten by twenty-foot deck has
Muskoka chairs and a large barbeque. The
spacious, screened sun-porch with its comfortable,
new wicker/resin furniture will soon become a
favourite spot for relaxing and enjoying the view.
From the cottage it is an easy walk down the slope
to the lake. Here there is a 30 by 4 foot dock
that leads out over the shallow water to where the
lake is about four feet deep and then gets deeper.
Swimmers will enjoy the firm sand bottom, clean
water and the all-day sun on the dock.
A
canoe is provided for exploring the shores of the
lake, while a fire-pit on the property will add to
your outdoor enjoyment. Come and enjoy the fresh
air of northern Ontario!
