Description:
Located in a bay at the south-east end of fabulous
Lake of Bays, within minutes of the Village of
Baysville, this spacious four-bedroom cottage is the
perfect getaway.
From the moment you enter,
you will appreciate the bright open concept main floor and superb lake views. The living
room boasts a stone fireplace and lots of
comfortable seating. The dining area, also with lake
views, comfortably seats eight, and adjacent is a well-equipped
kitchen. Sliding glass doors provide access to the
seasonal Muskoka room. A deck, perfect for
catching the summer breezes on a hot day, enjoying
that first morning cup of coffee or barbequing, is
situated off the Muskoka room.
The master bedroom with a king size bed is located
on the main floor, as is a three-piece bathroom. Located
on the upper level, the second bedroom offers a
queen size bed. The third and fourth bedrooms each
have two twin beds. A 4-piece bathroom completes
this level. All the bedrooms offer lake views.
Approximately 26 graduated steps lead from the deck
to a lower deck, halfway to the boathouse and water.
There's lots of built-in seating in this area, and
a beautiful stand of trees offer shade.
Another 30 steps take you down to
the 30 x 10 ft. dock and boathouse. Four deck chairs
provide seating, and there's a ladder for accessing
the water. From the dock you can swim, explore the
lake in the canoe provided, or fish. On the boat
house deck, catch some sun, or have a picnic (table
provided), all the while enjoying the magnificent
views across and up the lake.
For the boating enthusiast, Lake of Bays offers
miles and miles of boating fun. Your own boat can be launched
a short distance away at Baysville
Marina and moored at the
cottage dock.
Visit famous Robinson's General Store, the
scenic lookout tower in Dorset, and the beach in
Dwight by car or boat. Explore world-renowned
Algonquin Park, and browse antique shops in nearby
Baysville and Dorset, or enjoy shopping, dining and
live theatre in Bracebridge or Huntsville, a short
drive away. For the golfer, there is a course on
Bigwin Island (the largest island on the lake) as
well as many other golf courses in the area.
Come and enjoy this wonderful family cottage.
