Description:
Tyree Cottage is a 120-year-old traditional
Muskoka cottage nicely decorated with antique and
rustic furniture preserving its original feeling of
comfort and antiquity.
Located between Baysville and Dorset, Tyree Cottage
is perfect for a family gathering or simply for a
family vacation.
A large front veranda adjacent to a sunroom is part
of the main entrance giving the cottage a cozy and
relaxing feeling. Hardwood flooring remains around
the cottage keeping its unique old style.
The main floor features the living room fully
furnished and with a stone fireplace that heats up
all the first floor.
A separate private dining room is located
behind the fireplace with a dinning table for six
and it is connected to the fully equipped kitchen
that contains a small round dining table for four to
six people.
On this main floor, a bathroom and two bedrooms are
also to be found. One of the bedrooms has two twin
beds, a night table a closet and a sink, and the
other has two single beds, a closet and a sink.
To the right side of the fireplace, a narrow hard
wooden stairway is located and it connects to the
second floor where three bedrooms and a bathroom
have been built.
The bathroom is a 3-piece set with a clawfoot tub as
a reminder of the antiquity of the cottage. Two of
the bedrooms, one on each end of the hall, have a
double bed and a wooden drawer. A third bedroom with
a single bed and a cradle and curtains for doors,
sits in the middle of the hall.
Separated from the cottage by a narrow road, an
extra cabin with four single beds is to be found.
Outside the cabin, few steps down, the waterfront of
the property emerges with a stunning view to the
Lake of Bays and a large new dock.
