Description: This 3.25 acres peninsula is nicely wooded with
pine and birch, and features approximately 730 feet
of shared waterfront on Lake Vernon. The units
are winterized, with electric heat. The area
offers extensive boating, fishing and water sports
in the summer, as well as snowmobiling ,
cross-country skiing and downhill skiing (at Hidden
Valley Resort and Arrowhead Provincial Park) in the
winter -- truly a year-round getaway.
A level entry from the parking lot leads
into the Vernon View kitchen with its
refrigerator, stove and dishwasher. The
living area opens off the kitchen and has a wood
burning fireplace and sliding doors out to a small
balcony that looks west toward the lake. There
is one bedroom with a fan and queen bed and there is
a four piece bathroom. The living room holds the
option of a pull-out sofa.
Located in a resort-type setting, Vernon View is
located between two other attached units. A
short walk down to the lake leads to a dock with a
slip to tie a boat or a spot from which to fish.
Across the peninsula, there is a large sandy beach
that is shared with other cottagers. Swimming is
great, a volleyball net is there to use, and there
is a lot of space on the property to explore.
This property is located approximately two hours
north of Toronto and is easily accessible
year-round. Is is only minutes by car or boat
to golf at Deerhurst or Grandview Resorts, or to
shopping, restaurants and live theatre in
Huntsville. Horseback riding and tennis are
also nearby.
