Description: Nestled on the shore of peaceful Buck Lake, Sunset Point Cottage offers a large, level lot, an option of sun or shade, a quiet lake to explore by kayak or canoe, sunset views, good fishing and a choice of deep or shallow water for swimming.

A newly-built Viceroy, Sunset Point Cottage has been carefully constructed to include hardwood and tile floors, a pine cathedral ceiling and a lovely granite fireplace.  Large floor to ceiling windows face  the lake for wonderful, sunny views.

The cottage has two bedrooms on the main level, and there is additional sleeping in the loft that is accessed by a well-built staircase.  The master bedroom boasts a queen-sized bed, an ensuite bathroom with shower, and access to a small deck that faces the lake.  The second bedroom has a bunk bed with a double bed on the bottom and single on the top.  The loft is spacious and contains another queen-sized bed.

Comfortable furniture is provided in the living area with its magnificent wood-burning fireplace, and television with DVD, VCR and three local channels.  Board games are provided for indoor fun.

The kitchen is fully equipped and has a double sink, dishwasher, and microwave.  The dining table has seating for eight and a view of the lake.   A door leads from the dining area into the ten by twelve foot screened porch.  This allows for another dining area option or a place to relax with a coffee or cool drink.

At the side of the cottage that faces the lake there is a twenty by ten foot deck with barbeque and patio furniture.  The deck provides a good view of the large, level lot where there is plenty of room for children to explore or play on the swing set provided.  A fire pit is located near the lake.
Swimmers have a choice of swimming areas.  Deeper water can be accessed off the dock, where the lake is five to six feet deep.  A shallow, sandy area can be found further along the 440 foot waterfront.

Buck Lake has an active Cottage Association that is intent on keeping the lake pristine and natural.   The waterfront at Sunset Point Cottage has been left natural and there is a good chance of seeing various types of ducks, blue heron and turtles.  The lake is great for fishing, with opportunities to catch pike and small mouth bass.  The walleye here are to be fished on a catch and release basis only.  A kayak and a canoe are provided with the cottage, and the lake has interesting shores to explore.  Plan a day trip and canoe or kayak across the lake and up Axe Creek, or down Buck River to Fox Lake with one short portage along the way.

A community centre at the end of the road provides library books during the summer.  The town of Huntsville is only twenty minutes away, and is a good destination for dining, interesting shops, a hospital, the Pioneer Village, live theatre at the Algonquin Theatre, a cinema, and nearby Algonquin and Arrowhead Provincial Parks.

There will always be lots to do and lots to see at Sunset Point Cottage!
